White House given early warning of Katrina fury

So was New Orleans but they didn't listen either.

Former US federal disaster chief Michael Brown has testified that he told top White House and Homeland Security officials on the day Hurricane Katrina roared ashore that "we were realising our worst nightmare" and New Orleans was seriously flooding.

Well when a volcano erupts and sprays lava all over a town I can tell you it's burning. That's easy. See, what I'm upset about was the really, really botched rescue effort or as I've come to call it, the Pretend Rescue. See, that's why they refer to you as the "former" US federal disaster chief and not the "current" US federal disaster chief.

He dismissed as "just baloney" and "a little disingenuous" claims by agency officials that they didn't know about the severity of the damage until the next day.

Baloney huh. You're a fag.
Testifying before a Senate committee on Friday, Mr Brown said he agreed with members who characterised him as a scapegoat. "I feel somewhat abandoned."

This is no time to get into your own childhood issues Mr. Brown. This is a time for pointing the finger at you and making you take all the blame for the government completely fucking up the whole New Orleans/Katrina/levees breaking thing. We are all patriotic Americans here, even the ones you guys let float out to sea from New Orleans. So act like it and let the government blame you for their faults. It's a time-honored tradition and you'll be in great company with a long line of famous scapegoats.
