Severed heads discovered in fruit boxes

I think these apples have gone bad.

Police have found nine severed heads in fruit boxes by the side of a road in Iraq, the second such discovery this week.

And at ten cents a pound, they were a bargain. Man, even fruit stands are dangerous in Iraq. Hey, you think they squeezed the heads to see how old they were?

The discovery was made near the city of Baqouba, 35 miles northeast of Baghdad, in a region that is experiencing an upsurge of sectarian violence.

Really? An upsurge of violence? Were the severed heads in the fruit boxes the first clue or the second?

The heads - all men - have been taken to the city morgue, and an investigation has now been launched.

They haven't ruled out foul play.

Eight severed heads were found in a nearby village on Saturday, with a note indicating that the executions were in retaliation for the killing of Shia officials.

You must wonder, as more and more heads are found, where are the bodies going? And this is what I've been talking about the last few days about who the real bad guys are in Iraq. Yes, the US military may, "may", have killed civilians and I am in no way standing up for that kind of action. I'm just saying the US military isn't making a habit of treating civilians heads like produce. At least I hope there not.
