Two men in critical condition after plant explosion
You know, you'd think an explosion at a fucking chemical plant would be all over the news but nope, this is hidden away in the back of the papers.
Two men injured in yesterday's explosion at a Morganton chemical plant are fighting for their lives this morning in separate hospitals.The massive explosion at the Synthron plant left 14 people hurt and led to the temporary evacuation of nearby residents. A house across the street from the plant was moved off its foundation by the force of the explosion.
"Hey honey...wasn't our house on the other side of the street a few minutes ago?"
The U-S Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board says it's sending a team from Washington to assess the explosion and fire and determine whether a formal investigation is needed.
It exploded. What other information do you need in order to determine whether an investigation is needed? Perhaps, when things explode, we should just kind of, you know, automatically assume something went wrong and look into it.
