Bush says gulf coast will come back

Why? Where'd it go?

Conceding "some rough spots" in the recovery from Hurricane Katrina's devastation along the gulf coast, President George W. Bush said Thursday that displaced victims will find relief in a region to be rebuilt better than before.

You mean without those poor, black neighborhoods? And calling the disaster of the disaster relief a "rough spot" is like calling WWII a party that got out of control. Somebody sure dropped the ball on that one. I went to New Orleans in March last year and my girlfriend and I had a great time. Sure was a nice city before it joined Atlantis.
You should fix it.

Bush complained in New Orleans that Congress hasn't funded nearly half the $3 billion he seeks for rebuilding levees.

Well damnit, who's in charge over there?

The government has committed $85 billion to recovery in the region, Bush said, with $25 billion spent.

So that leaves $60 billion, that should be enough to fix a city no? Maybe you guys shouldn't be playing politics until after you fix peoples homes that were destroyed because...well...you guys were playing politics. If I was living in New Orleans I'd be camping out on the White House lawn until my home was fixed.
