Asbestos ship on its way to India

Ooh...sounds like fun for the whole family.

A French aircraft carrier lined with asbestos is on a controversial voyage to an Indian breaker's yard in Alang, in the western state of Gujarat.

Nothing like throwing away your toxic rubble in someone elses country. I have some leftover cooking oil I could always just pour into your rivers if you'd like.

Last week a French court ruled that the old warship could set sail (as long as it sails far, far away from France).

Green activists protesting outside the French embassy in India accused France of sending an old military ship containing toxic waste.

Well, there is bound to be some French people on board but I don't think they'll stay in India, I presume they...oh...toxic waste as in the asbestos...I'm seeing your point now.

Green groups say Indian ship-breakers are not properly equipped to deal with asbestos, which can cause lung cancer.

Oh come on, I'm sure you'll be trampled by an elephant, eaten by a crocidile or succumb to one of the many rampant diseases in India way before lung cancer could develope. Quit whining.
